Awards for Young Musicians (AYM) is accepting applications for its 2008 awards.

The organisation, which supports young instrumentalists from five to 18, is calling for applications for support with music expenses, including the purchase or hire of musical instruments and accessories, music lessons, weekend music schools, music courses, orchestra fees and travel.

Awards range from £200 to £2000 for the UK’s most talented young musicians in financial need. AYM also offers a year-round advice and information service for young musicians and their families.

Deadline for applications is 4 April.
