MM GROUP GETS TOGETHER

The Music Manifesto Partnership and Advocacy Group (MMPAG) has had its first meeting.

The group met for the first time in November, hosted by Classic FM's managing director Darren Henley.

The meeting kicked off with a Schools Minister Andrew Adonis outlining his plans for music education.

In his speech Lord Adonis stressed the important role that the government and the campaign should play in ‘stimulating activity' in education and the wider community to create a sustainable legacy. Music Manifesto development director, Marc Jaffrey (pictured), announced campaign news and introduced Baz Chapman, programme director for the Manifesto's new national singing programme, Sing Up.

Also present were Justin Baron, head of sales and marketing for Sibelius music software. Katherine Zeserson from Sage, Gateshead and various LEA music service leaders.

The group's second meeting will be held in December and members can be contacted on info@musicmanifesto.co.uk .
